This week’s Photo Challenge is Treasure. As a photography lover and amateur photographer, I immediately thought about it in the context of great photography and great photographers whose work I admire and treasure. So, instead of my own photos, I’m sharing a video of my favorite photographer, Henri Cartier-Bresson, talking about “The Decisive Moment.”

Thank you for this video, I really enjoyed it. I became aware of Cartier-Bresson only last year when my sister took me to an exhibition held at Somerset House. We spent a delightful afternoon swimming through some of his images – which seemed to display a joy in watching people living. I was particularly delighted by the many private moments that he’d been able to capture in public spaces. His eye is like that of a good friend who knows how to recognise the moments and movements that describe your personality and thoughts at any given time. I found the work both inspiring and gratifying.
Yes, he was such genius. His work is magnificent and had inspired and will continue to inspire photographers and photography lovers everywhere.
