This week’s photo challenge asks us to play with scale to highlight size. In this photo taken in Sorrento, Italy, the contrast between the huge cruise liner and the two small boats around it caught my eye immediately.
And this next photo, also taken in Sorrento, illustrates how everything else is dwarfed by the always dauntingly present Mount Vesuvius…


Great shots. Cruise ships dock in Portland, Maine, about 45 minutes from us. When you are driving toward the dock, the first thing you see is the top of the ship peeking over the roof tops of the buildings along the street. It’s amazing how big they are. 🙂
