What’s your strongest sense? My hearing is fine, but not perfect. My husband, for example, can hear distortions in lower quality sound systems and I can’t even tell the difference… My sense of smell is good, especially to detect unpleasant odors, but I suffer from “seasonal allergies” all year long so… 😀 My taste buds are totally messed up. I’ve confused tuna salad with chicken salad more than once. That bad! Considering I can easily detect motion (say, a small bug walking around) using only my peripheral vision, I’d have to say it’s my eyesight, even though I don’t have perfect vision and wear contact lenses. But seriously, I am definitely a visual person. I learn better through visuals, I enjoy everything related to the visual arts, I can’t forget a face, and so on… The eyes have it!
Which of Snow White’s 7 dwarfs describes you best (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey)? Gosh, I don’t identify much with any of them. But I can be all of them on different days… Can I just be Snow White? 🙂
If you could be one age for the rest of your life, what age would that be? I could say that I am perfectly happy with my current age and that wouldn’t be untrue, but I’ve always said I’d love to be 35 again (or forever). Why? Well, at 35 you are done with studies (even graduate studies), probably have a decent job, and know enough about yourself and the world to make sensible choices, but you’re still young enough to do a 180-degree turn in your life. You can start something completely new and still have time to excel at it, whether it’s a new job, a new field of study, marriage, motherhood, start your own business, or what have you. I did some of these things too early and others a bit too late. So I wouldn’t mind being 35 again. But truth be told, I am a firm believer in change and improvement and continue to challenge myself with new things whenever possible. I just wouldn’t do a 180-degree in my life because that would affect others, nor a 360-degree because that would bring me to where I am today. 😉 By the way, that’s me at 36 below, in Paris. Please forgive the perm…
List of Jobs You Think You Might Enjoy: Even if you aren’t thinking about a career change, it can be fun to think of other jobs you might enjoy. [Remember: This is SYW where even your dreams can become reality.] I would have liked to be a writer of fiction, or a serious journalist. Definitely an excellent professional photographer. And in my wildest dreams I would love to be a great singer/performer. LOL!
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? Last week was very uneventful and I don’t expect much excitement in the week starting. Uneventful is good. I can live with that. Cheers!
Good to see you and I love your answers, especially at the “age” question, and Snow White is cute too. 🙂
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed them! 😊
I love your age answer. 35 was the age where I felt adult fir the first time.
Thanks for reading and commenting, Joseph.
I agree with the visual person. 🙂 ..about the age… …I’m 47 now… …despite of the the fact that everybody wish to keep a young body, I would say I would like to keep my age. Year by year, because I felt that all the experience I made (good and bad) are a precious gift which I won’t miss. I feel that I grew on many bad experience, so that I got the chance now to see more good things in live.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on that, Markus. I’m happy wheee I am but wouldn’t mind being 35 again… 😉
Of course you can be out of the box and be Snow White. 😀 😀
😂🤣😂
We have the same answer for the last question! I’m glad you have good peripheral vision, I have no sense of direction. Good thing that we have mountains at north and ocean at south, that helps!
Great minds think alike… by now he way, my good peripheral vision doesn’t really help me with my sense of direction. I often don’t know north from south, east from west, which makes my life difficult in LA, where people love to give directions using that… 😣😂
Good to see you, Angela! And at that age, my hair was a similar length and very curly….😀
Thanks, Sue! That was my first and last perm! 🤣
😀😀
I think there’s nothing particularly outrageous about wanting to be a singer/performer. In my wildest imagination, I’d like to be a rock star 🙂
Yay!! Rock on, Joanne!
