Weekly Photo Challenge: Bridge

I have many images of bridges from around the world, but for this week’s Daily Post Challenge: Bridge I’m featuring the bridge for which I have a special fondness and that I had a chance to photograph again a couple months ago: San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge.“The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate strait, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km), one-point-seven-mile-long (2.7 km) channel between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean… The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.” (Wikipedia)

    • Thanks, Jo! The Golden Gate Bridge always gets me all giddy with excitement. But now I must go back to Lisbon to see the Ponte de Abril, which I missed when we were there. In my defense, I had the flu (total misery) and it rained almost every single day we were there. 😦
