One City, Two Rivers (late posting for June 2, Day 153 of Project 365)~~
I’ve been fighting some serious jet lag and trying to get back to some important matters I must attend to here in LA. In the meantime, I’m trying to catch up on my 365 project, interrupted by inefficient WiFi capabilities of some hotels in France. This post is for June 2, the day we traveled back to the US. Since I didn’t have a chance to take photographs then, I thought I’d pay homage to one my favorite spots on the trip:the city of Lyon. I love cities that have some body of water around them, be it a river, a lake or the ocean. Lyon has two rivers: the Rhône and the Saône. The Saône is a right tributary of the Rhône, rising at Vioménil in Vosges and joining the Rhône in Lyon, just south of the Presqu’île. Here are views of both rivers from the bridges we crossed many times.
