The Cathedral of Our Lady, in Antwerp, is the tallest church in Belgium. It is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The cathedral houses a number of European masterpieces, including some of Antwerpen artist Peter Paul Rubens, considered the most influential artist of Flemish Baroque tradition.
Whaaaa! That is stunning. There’s an insane amount of detail in the carvings of the first arch (2nd shot)…the mind boggles. Great to see such a variety in the style of doors all in the same building. They all work wonderfully.
Awesome post 🙂
This cathedral is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. The building is incredibly beautiful and tall, and the amount of art inside, as well as number and variety of styles of doors (I didn’t use all the doors I photographed) is truly amazing.
