Chicago’s Posh Neighborhood ~~
Astor Street District is a Chicago Landmark, with 19th-century houses designed in a variety of historical revival styles, interspersed with apartment buildings and townhouses. The houses are primarily Queen Anne, Richardsonian Romanesque and the Georgian Revival styles. We walked around it this afternoon, before the rain came to put a damper on the perfect weather we’d gotten so far here in Chicago.
There are a lot of trees in this street as well. I think buildings and trees make up the unique character. Put a panoramic view of the house front and a street shot on my wish list for next time. Great shots! And congrats for reaching #260. Reinhold
Thanks, Reinhold! Houses were hard to photograph because most are gated, but I hear you! And, yeah, 260 daily posts! Only 105 to go…! 🙂
