Difficult to argue for the “or”. It works both ways. Atmosphere, contrast and details in the B&W… reflections, textures and warmth of the sunset in the colored version. If I think of stormy weather the B&W version has a very slight advantage to win the race. I have nearly an identical version of that photo. I decided not to post it, because I couldn’t make the decision between B&W and color. I will link to it in a second comment later. Smiles. Reinhold
Very interesting observations, as always. I was going with the color version, prepared the post, but just before pressing “publish” I felt it wasn’t fair to ignore the B&W. So I went with both and a question mark! 🙂 Look forward to seeing your photo! Cheers!

Here is my “on hold”version:
Beautiful! And strikingly similar! The color is fabulous. I’m sure it will look great in B&W.
A very happy 2016 to you and your family, Angela! Thanks for all your lovely shares 🙂
Thanks! Same to you and yours, Jo!
Both versions are excellent. Happy New Year to you, Angela!
Thanks, Neihtn. Happy New Year to you too!
i think the detail in the b/w comes through better than the color. the clouds and the ripples on the water are more defined.
Yes, that’s true. In the end, it’s about personal taste and what one wants to convey. Thanks for commenting and Happy New Year!
