Weekly Photo Challenge: Unusual

One of the most unusual things I’ve seen in my life was this tree, whose fruits (or something rambling fruits) hung from the trunk! Not a very pretty sight… And I couldn’t find out anything about it. (Photo taken in Santa Barbara, CA)

The very unusual (at least to me) Pink Melaleucas, or Western Tea Myrtles, natives of Australia, whose trunks spread on the ground. Unlike the tree above, these are very beautiful. (Photo taken at Palisades Park, Santa Monica, CA)

And the quite unusual “Eisbach,” a small channel of the Isar River that runs through Munich’s central park. People line up to surf the continuous, ice-cold wave that rolls through the channel all day long. Unusual to me who come from a culture of sea surfing. (Photo taken in Munich, Bavaria, Germany)
