A Word A Week Photography Challenge: Water

I live very close to the ocean and love going to the beach and being around the water. But nothing compares to being surrounded by water everywhere, which is what one experiences in Venice, Italy’s beautiful “City of Water!”

Italy (I) Traveling Through Tuscany

Earlier this month we spent two wonderful weeks in Italy, where we visited Venice, Florence, Greve in Chianti, Montefioralle, Siena, San Gimignano, and Montalcino. We drove through the Tuscan countryside and Val d’Orcia all the way to Rome, where we ended the trip. It was a fantastic trip. Italy is a photographer’s paradise and I took thousands of photos. Starting my series on Italy, here’s a slide show of the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

For this week’s Photo Challenge, I invite you “inside” the 18-foot-diameter (5.5 m) Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, which takes you up 8,500 ft. to the summit of Mt. San Jacinto, in Palm Springs, California. I was there just two days ago, and here’s proof of that.

That’s the final destination. You can see a tram just about to arrive there.

I loved the ride and of course took hundreds of photos on the way up and down, as well as at the top of the mountain. This is a great ride that I recommend to anyone who doesn’t have fear of heights. 🙂

A Word A Week Photography Challenge: Undulate (wavey/ripple)

A Word a Week Challenge this week is Undulate (wavy/ripple). I love all things undulate, and for this challenge I chose to feature undulating water, sand and architecture.
