Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge: Three Items or Number Three

I must really like the number three because I have lots of photos with three items! So, here is a “small” selection of “Threes” for Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge.

Burgundy Region Chateaus (1)

Château Pommard~~

Located in Pommard, just outside Beaune, the Château de Pommard is the largest private vineyard in Bourgogne. Besides their grounds, museum and wine tasting, we saw two temporary art exhibits going on at the château (one of photography and one of sculptures) and a couple of permanent (I think) Salvador Dali sculptures displayed in their courtyard. The château’s grounds and museum are very pretty and the wine was very good. We regretted not having come earlier, with time for a full tour and meal. Here a slide show of photos of the road trip from Beaune to Pommard and of the château visit.

Cee’s Odd Ball Challenge: 2015 – Week 25

I’ve been reluctant to participate in Cee’s Odd Ball Challenge because I’m not one-hundred percent sure I understand it! 🙂 But I’ve decided to give it a try this week with this thing I saw at an art fair I went to recently. I had to photograph it, I don’t know why…

Quotes (III) – William Shakespeare and 365/Day 170

For Day III of the Quotes challenge, for which I was nominated by catalan blogger and photographer Cosmo, from bCL Photography, I’ve chosen a witty quote from the greatest writer in the English language.

“Better a witty fool than a foolish wit.”   William Shakespeare

The photos below are of the Parisian bookstore “Shakespeare and Company”, in the 5th arrondissement. I took them when I was in Paris this past May. “Shakespeare and Company” is not only a regular bookstore and second-hand books store specializing in English-language literature, but also a reading library. It has become a tourist attraction since it was featured in two popular movies: Richard Linklater’s “Before Sunset” and Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris.” It’s small and cramped, and a bit chaotic with tourists walking through it, but it’s worth a visit.

This is also going to count as the 170th post for my 365 project. And, again, I am refraining from nominating other bloggers and hope anyone who likes the challenge feels free join in the fun!
