Arriving in my hometown in NE Brazil yesterday, I snapped this picture of the sky with my iPhone from our condo on the 17th floor. It was for my 365 project but I was so tired I forgot to post it… Am posting it belatedly.
These photos were taken in Ojai, CA, a picturesque town, 83 miles from Los Angeles. The Ojai Valley is known for unique sunsets called “pink moments.” To capture those moments, instead of looking west at the setting sun, one should look east to see its reflection on the bluffs of the Topa Topa Mountains, which for a few moments are airbrushed a Day-Glo pink. Well, much to my disappointment, the weather turned bad when we were there, and the pink effect didn’t quite happen. Instead, ominous dark clouds covered the mountains, which I found extremely dramatic and absolutely awesome. Here are a couple of the photos taken that day.
