Thursday Doors on Friday. More Barcelona doors, with interesting carvings and wrought iron work.

Technically it’s already Friday so, with a little delay, here are my “Thursday Doors.” As you can see, graffiti is quite a problem for some good old doors in Barcelona…

This gallery contains 7 photos.

One of the most unusual things I’ve seen in my life was this tree, whose fruits (or something rambling fruits) hung from the trunk! Not a very pretty sight… And I couldn’t find out anything about it. (Photo taken in Santa Barbara, CA)

The very unusual (at least to me) Pink Melaleucas, or Western Tea Myrtles, natives of Australia, whose trunks spread on the ground. Unlike the tree above, these are very beautiful. (Photo taken at Palisades Park, Santa Monica, CA)

And the quite unusual “Eisbach,” a small channel of the Isar River that runs through Munich’s central park. People line up to surf the continuous, ice-cold wave that rolls through the channel all day long. Unusual to me who come from a culture of sea surfing. (Photo taken in Munich, Bavaria, Germany)

Old Route 66 had its western terminus at the edge of the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica, on a palm-lined bluff a few blocks north of the city’s landmark pier. This collage is outside an old shop that sells Route 66 Paraphernalia at the Santa Monica Pier.

Barcelona, Spain.

Postcards. Lyon, France.

Doors from Aix-en-Provence, France. For Norm’s Thursday Doors.
